Some of our shipments may include batteries or rechargeable batteries. To comply with the German Battery Act (BattG), please review the following information:
Do Not Dispose of Batteries in Household Waste
Batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be discarded with regular household waste. The symbol of the crossed-out wheeled bin clearly indicates this requirement.
Return Obligation for Consumers
You are legally required to return used batteries to an appropriate collection point or to a retailer. This service is free of charge.
Why Returning Batteries Matters
- Improperly stored or disposed batteries can release harmful substances, posing risks to both the environment and human health.
- Batteries contain valuable raw materials such as iron, zinc, manganese, and nickel that can be recovered and reused.
Where Can You Return Used Batteries?
- Directly to Us: Send your used batteries back to our shipping address.
- Locally: Drop them off at local retailers or municipal collection points at no cost.
- Quantity Limit: Retailers only accept household quantities and the battery types they currently sell or have previously carried.
